Thomas L. Colter: USMC Combat Veteran, Blue Collar Lawyer, Fighter, Entrepreneur, Christian Conservative, Father and Grandfather, fighting for you and your family. A defender of women and children. A hero to the common man.

Marine Corps Combat Veteran: USMC Infantry, Light Armored Recon, WOLF PACK. Earned combat experience in Mogadishu, Somalia during Operation Restore Hope as a member of the Marines Light Armored Reconnaissance Team. Operation Fiery Vigil, Subic Bay, Philippines. Instructor at Marine Corps School of Infantry, Camp Pendelton, CA.

Florida State Prosecutor: Served at the State Attorneys Office in St. Lucie County prosecuting misdemeanor and felony crimes in the 19th Judicial Circuit. The juries and the people loved COLTER prompting him to open his own office.

PRIVATE PRACTICE: In 2004 COLTER opened his own office with little money and the dream of building his own business. The results of that dream has greatly impacted thousands of families on the Treasure Coast. Today the business stands strong as LAW PATRIOT, where COLTER leads a team that defends Families, the greatest clients on the Treasure Coast, the accused, local businesses, and those injured in automobile accidents.

Early Life & Marines

COLTER grew up in Norwich, CT. His late grandfather, Richard R. Martin, served as a State Representative and Mayor of New London, CT. Mr. Martin issued a proclamation on COLTER's birthday, naming the day Thomas Luke Colter Day. COLTER's mother was a saint who loved almost everything young COLTER would do. She called him by his initials 'TLC', and 'Tommy'. COLTER's father spent over 21 years in the US NAVY and is the hardest working person COLTER knows. COLTER attended Norwich Free Academy where he played football. COLTER was named "Most Respected" of his senior Class. At the age of 19, COLTER answered the call to service and joined the Greatest Fighting Force on Earth, the United States Marine Corps.

Legal Career

After leaving the Marine Corps Infantry with an Honorable Discharge, COLTER found himself undereducated and unqualified for many jobs that would support his growing family. COLTER decided to return to school with three young children. COLTER attended community college for a year and then Washington State University where e earned his undergraduate degree. COLTER obtained his Juris Doctor from The Florida State University College of LAW. After graduation, COLTER served St. Lucie County as a State Prosecutor and later founded Law Patriot. COLTER dedicates himself to fighting for his clients, majority of which are women, the abused, the common man, the forgotten, the underdog and those who have come close to giving up HOPE. COLTER holds a sincere belief in God, the right to free speech, the right to bear arms and the rights of the unborn. COLTER can be found WINNING any day of the week throughout Martin and St. Lucie Counties.

As we continue to protect our local citizens and victims, we must ensure that fairness is upheld at the local level and guard from the corruption of special interests.

USMC COMBAT VETERAN: COLTER served in the UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS Infantry, where he gained combat experience in Mogadishu, Somalia as a member of the USMC Light Armored Reconnaissance Team. COLTER taught at the USMC School of Infantry. COLTER was honorably discharged.

PROSECUTOR: COLTER served as a misdemeanor and felony prosecutor in St. Lucie County and has always been tough on crime. COLTER loves justice, with a redemptive edge.
